[:de]Das Museo Casa Rusca in Locarno eröffnet die neue Ausstellungssaison mit dem provokantesten Paar der internationalen zeitgenössischen Kunstszene: Gilbert & George. Dies ist ein sehr wichtiges Event, denn die Künstler haben anlässlich ihrer über ein halbes Jahrhundert bestehenden Vereinigung im Leben und in der Kunst den Vorschlag angenommen, ihre Werke in Locarno auszustellen, nachdem sie bereits in den renommiertesten Museen der Welt – Centre Pompidou in Paris, Art Museum in Shanghai, Tate Gallery in London, MoMA in New York – zu sehen waren. Die Werkschau wurde in enger Zusammenarbeit mit Gilbert & George geplant und konzentriert sich auf das jüngere Schaffen aus dem letzten Jahrzehnt. Die Auswahl von sechzig Werken verwandelt jeden Museumsraum in ein großes Fresko und bildet ein faszinierendes, mitreissendes Erlebnis, das dem Publikum die Arbeit des englischen Künstlerduos in ihrem Wesen vermittelt.

Si tratta di un evento di grande importanza poiché gli artisti – in occasione della celebrazione di oltre mezzo secolo di sodalizio esistenziale-artistico – hanno eccezionalmente accettato di esporre le loro opere a Locarno, dopo aver tenuto mostre nei più prestigiosi musei del mondo, dal Centre Pompidou di Parigi all’Art Museum di Shangai, dalla Tate Gallery di Londra, al MoMA di New York. La rassegna, progettata in stretta collaborazione con Gilbert & George, presenta la loro produzione più recente realizzata nell’ultimo decennio. Una selezione di sessanta opere trasforma ogni sala del Museo in un grande affresco, dando vita ad un’esperienza affascinante e coinvolgente, che comunica al pubblico l’essenza del lavoro del duo artistico inglese.

This is an event of major importance, since, on an exceptional basis - on the occasion of the celebration of over half a century of existential-artistic partnership - the artists have agreed to display their works in Locarno, after holding exhibitions in the most prestigious museums in the world, from the Centre Pompidou in Paris to the Art Museum of Shanghai, from the Tate Gallery in London, to the MoMA in New York. The exhibition, planned in close collaboration with Gilbert & George themselves, presents their most recent production, created over the last decade. A selection of sixty works transforms every room of the Museum into a large fresco, giving rise to a fascinating and captivating experience that communicates the essence of the English artistic duo’s work to the public.

C'est un événement de grande importance car, à l'occasion de la célébration de plus d'un demi-siècle d'union dans la vie et l'art, les deux artistes ont exceptionnellement accepté d'exposer leurs œuvres à Locarno, après avoir organisé des expositions dans les musées les plus prestigieux du monde, du Centre Pompidou de Paris à l'Art Museum de Shanghai, en passant par la Tate Gallery de Londres et le MoMA de New York. Conçue en étroite collaboration avec Gilbert et George, l'exposition présente leur production la plus récente, réalisée au cours de la dernière décennie. Une sélection de soixante œuvres transforme chaque salle du musée en une grande fresque, créant ainsi une expérience fascinante et engageante qui communique au public l'essence du travail du duo artistique anglais.
